RSMSSB Junior Assistant & LDC Grade II Typing Test

For RSSB Typing Speed Test 2026 preparation, you can take test on Exam like software. Here you have exam like environment, passage will appear on upper side and you have to type bottom text box. You can correct any word until you have pressed space-bar, once you have presses space-bar, you can't correct the word. The test duration will be 10 minutes each for Englihs and Hindi language. 

As you start typing your timer will start and will submit upon time elapsed. You can also submit it as soon as you have finised the given passage. After completing exam test, it will show you detailed analysis of your typing skills and marks you have obtained as per formula for RSSB/RSMSSB.

Typing speed test and typing efficiency test will be conducted separately for Hindi and English language. Candidate have to appear and qualify in all 4 tests.

Requirement of Typing Test

RSSB Jr. Asst. & LDC Typing Test Evaluation

Typing Test Exam - In typing speed test you will given a passage of limited words for typing in a allotted time. For English Typing Speed Test, 500 words and for Hindi 400 words passage will be given, to type in 10-10 minutes time duration. Candidate have to copy (type) the given passage in a text box. For RSSB Typing test you have to score minimum 9 marks out of 25 in both English and Hindi Typing Speed Test.

In typing test a "Word" is a set of character separated by space.

After completion of time the passage typed by the candidate have matched with given passage to find out errors. Remember every omission of word, double type of word or incorrect spelling and wrong capitalization of characters will be considered as error while examining your typing sheet.

Marks will be given out of 25 for typing test, for English 0.05 & for Hindi 0.0625 marks will be given for each correct typed word. Their is no negative marking for wrong words.

Typing Test Evaluation Formula (English)

The Jr. Asst. & LDC Typing test will be evaluated by the computer software. In word base calculation a set of characters separated by space consider as a word. The word count regardless of how many characters in it. For Example the sentence "We are learning typing."  As you can see here total 4 words.

Maximum Marks = 25

Minimum Marks Required to qualify the test = 9

Marks Obtained = [ Total Correct Words × 0.05 ]

Example : Suppose the A candidate typed total 400 words in 10 Minutes in which he typed 350 correct words:

Marks obtained = [ 350 × 0.05 ] = 17.50

Typing Test Evaluation Formula (Hindi)

Maximum Marks : 25

Minimum Marks Required to qualify the test : 9

Marks Obtained : (Total Correct Words × 0.0625 ) 

Example : Suppose the A candidate typed total 360 words in 10 Minutes in which he typed 330 correct words:

Marks obtained = (330 × 0.0625) = 20.625

Keyboard layout for Devlys Hindi Typing Test

You can use your QWERTY keyboard for typing in Devlys Test. The key mappings of Devlys 010 font is same as on Hindi typewriter machines. The layout is known as Remington Layout. The keys that are not found on keyboard map can be typed using Alt key with Devlys character code. The Devlys keyboard layout is displayed in below image.

Calculation of Errors

  1. Every Word which a typed wrong or didn't match with given passage.
  2. Every word omitted during test
  3. Every double typed word
  4. Wrong use of capital or small case (for English)

Tips for Qualify Typing Test

  1. Your body posture should be proper while you typing. Your eyes should in level of screen and keyboard should be it level of your elbow.
