UP Police SI, ASI Clerk, ASI Accountant Typing Test (921 Posts)

The UPPRPB conducted the written exam for the Sidhi Bharti-2023 for the post of SI Confidential (पुलिस उपनिरीक्षक गोपनीय), ASI Clerk (पुलिस सहायक उपनिरीक्षिक लिपिक), and ASI Accountant (पुलिस सहायक उपनिरीक्षिक लेखा). The exam was held on 2nd of November 2025. The second phase of UPPRPB SI, ASI recruitment is Typing Test (टंकण परीक्षा) which is of qualifying nature. The Typing test will be conducted for both English and Hindi Language. The Typing test will be conducted in year 2026. The Typing Test Will be of qualifying nature means you to have achieve a qualified speed in Word Per Minutes (WPM) to pass the test the qualifying criteria would be 30 WPM for English typing test and 25 WPM for Hindi typing test.

Typing Test Pattern (SI & ASI Clerk)

Typing skill test for UPPRPB SI and ASI Clerk Posts will be conducted separately for Hindi and English (15-15 Minutes for each) language. Candidate have to appear and qualify in both tests.

1. English Typing Test

a. Time Duration : 15 Minutes

b. Passage : 500 Words

c. Qualifying Speed (WPM) : 30

d. Required Accuracy : 85%

e. Font : Standard

f. Keyboard Layout : QWERTY (Standard)

2. Hindi Typing Test

a. Time Duration : 15 Minutes

b. Passage : 400 Words

c. Qualifying Speed (WPM) : 25

e. Required Accuracy : 85%

Typing Test Pattern (ASI Accountant)

Typing Skill test for UPPRPB ASI Accountant will be conducted for Hindi Language only (15 Minutes). Candidate have to appear and qualify in Hindi Typing Test.

1. Hindi Typing Test ASI Accountant

a. Time Duration : 15 Minutes

b. Passage : 400 Words

c. Qualifying Speed (WPM) : 15

d. Required Accuracy : 85%

e. Font : Unicode Font

f. Keyboard Layout : Inscript

UPPRPB SI & ASI Typing Test WPM Speed Calculation formula

Word : Set of character separated by space will be counted as 1 word 

For Example (English) : If in the test of 15 minutes a candidate have typed total 480 Words in which he/she made 22 mistakes then the calculation will be like:

Total Words Typed by the Candidate = 480

Errors = 22

Net Right words = 480 - 22 = 458

WPM Speed = 458 / 15 = 30.53 WPM (Qualified)
